May 2015: May Forecast

Hey PGS Fam! Hope you all are officially defrosting and feeling creative.

For May the choice is  Vogue 9075 – View B (wide leg jumpsuit). This month’s theme is Marsha’s (Marshbar’s Closet) Spring/Summer Forecast for 2015 that was featured in our February PGS Magazine issue! Don’t forget, there was also a pattern review for this same pattern by our very own Miesha! Check that out in our April Newsletter.

Feel free to choose one or combine a few! We can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Don’t forget your Quilts are due May 1st!

Before we get to Pinterest inspo, get into Erica B.’s and Adrienne’s versions:

From the DIY Divas:

Look for fabric that drapes beautifully! A stretch woven or a ponte. Be aware that the bodice is really fitted. I’m in search of a lightweight denim with stretch for my next one!

-Erica B.

Be sure to trim all your seams. The directions don’t tell you to do this, but if you leave all of your seam allowance on your fabric and your lining it could be a little bulky depending on your fabric.

-Adrienne N.

Oh yeah, I’m in! It’s been a while since I’ve done a PGS challenge! I’ve been eyeing this pattern for a minute and I just got the perfect denim chambray fabric in. The inspiration pics from Erica and Adrienne pushed my decision over the edge, lol!!

I’m having trouble picking a fabric for this! Do you guys think silk or double gauze would work? Thanks!!

I think anything with movement will be good! Double gauze sounds light and comfortable enough for hi temperature! Can’t wait to see.
